Cyborg Venus. I love old style tin robots but I just did not think I could do it justice – yet. Although – I did learn a lot on this one – but mostly I learned how little I know about photoshop. . .But all in all a good time. For more robots and for some fantabulous old fash. robots. Now to scope out others robots – someday I will get through every link!

All over my studio when I am working on pendants or assemblages are these optical lenses. 
I have collected boxes and boxes of them. My very favorite coming from England one of the first female optometrists there. It came with two wonderful cases full of fantastic old books with gorgeous plates of eye diseases. Who knew something like that could be so stunning!?! It was in pristine condition and just is a treasure.
Some I just collect others get turned into mini collage pendants.
I cover the back with decorative papers in old english floral patterns and then seal them with a durable archival glass-like resin. (The bottom three are turned over so you can see the backs.) So both the front and back are so sparkly and shimmer so much it is a wonder I don't wear sunglasses in my studio. 
A bit different then I do them but a great tutorial if you want to try one. And more shiny here.
